OPPO Find X2 Lite is a smartphone that represents a real watershed. The device, part of the Find X2 family, which also includes models Find X2 Pro – flagship top of the range – and find X2 Neo, in fact, keeps faith with the mantra of the group and, al price of 499 eurosbrings the 5G technologyin fact subtracting it from the exclusive relevance of top-of-the-range smartphones with prohibitive prices and also bringing it into the mid-range of the market.
In a moment, the term Lite, usually used to describe “lighter” devices in their technical equipment in order to offer more affordable prices, takes on a different meaning.

Also because in addition to the latest generation network connectivity, there is a responsive processor, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765Ga 4,025mAh battery with 30W VOOC 4.0 flash charginga good camera department and a stabilized video camera (ultra steady video 2.0).

Find X2 Lite ha un 6.4-inch Amoled display with a resolution of 1,080 × 2,400x pixels at 408 ppi. It offers a good color rendering and ensures a good brightness in all situations. Its readability is good even outdoors. It has an aspect ratio of 20: 9 and is only interrupted at the top by a small drop that houses the 32 Megapixel selfie camera.

As mentioned, the smartphone can count on the Snapdragon 765 processor G which also integrates the 5G modem. The chipset of the Californian house does not have the explosiveness of the 865 model but still ensures good dynamism. There are 8 GB of Ram and 128 GB of storage. The fingerprint reader has been placed under the display: it is not very fast in retrieving the fingerprint, but it is always accurate. The GPU is an Adreno 620.
To underline the particular structure of the antenna, which surrounds the entire perimeter of the smartphone, modifying the reception according to the user’s position, and thus ensuring the best signal available.

UI Experience

On the front of the interface, OPPO Find X2 Lite offers Android 10 running the Color OS 7.0 which appears completely renewed compared to the previous version. The graphics are finally more in keeping with European taste and less “oriental”, but also the organization of menus and sub-menus is now more orderly and more pleasant to use. <
Among the typical functions of the interface, we always like to remember the possibility of protecting apps with a password and cloning the accounts of the main apps such as Facebook and WhatsApp. Also very useful secure keyboard mode: When you have to type in a password or write sensitive information, the phone does not record keystrokes, disconnecting them from the Internet.

The OPPO Find X2 Lite camera

Find X2 Lite comes with four cameras and 48, 13, 2 e 2 Megapixel. There is a main lens is 48 Megapixel f / 1.7, a wide-angle lens with brightness f / 2.2 (focal length of 13mm) and two sensors for vintage photos and black and white images. The latter has the task of collecting information on contrasts and shadows so as to help the other sensors in the most difficult lighting conditions, optimizing the scene.

All in all the quality of the photos are good: the main camera returns quality shots and the wide-angle optics minimizes the distortion typical of this lens. There is no optical zoom but the results with the use of digital zoom are good with the 2x, decent with the 5x while with the 10x the degradation of the images increases a lot.

In the shots in the evening / night the results were a bit mixed: if you use the automatic mode you risk collecting excessively dark shots, while the use of night mode sometimes tends to lighten the shot a little too much (as you can see in the image here below), removing contrast and losing the blacks.

Promoted the videos: The smartphone supports 4K @ 30fps, 1080P @ 60fps / 30fps, 720P @ 60fps / 30fps clips. We appreciate the excellent work done on stabilization that allows sports videos.

The audio of the smartphone

A praise to OPPO for leaving the jack da 3,5 mm, always convenient to use your favorite headphones. The multimedia reproduction is good, while the audio of the ear capsule occasionally returns a slightly cold tone. But they are details.

Battery

The 4,025 mAh battery arrives quietly in the evening, with a rather heavy use of the smartphone. We are not in the presence of a “battery phone”, but Find X2 Lite still offers the VOOC 4.0 recharge, a 30 W.

It goes without saying that the presence of 5G alone is worth the price of the ticket that you have to pay to put Find X2 Lite in your pocket. But we would be ungrateful if we limited our analysis to this: Oppo’s smartphone has a good camera package, a sufficient amount of memory (which unfortunately cannot be expanded with micro SD cards), a good processor (which never heats up and consumes too) and a valid purchase promo. At € 499 it’s hard to ask for more.
